Instead, we come together as equals in a sacred circle - women supporting women, each reflecting, teaching, and learning from one another. As mirrors, as wise ones in our own ways. Who & What is Shakti?

Shakti is the pulse of life itself - the divine feminine current that flows through all of creation. She is the breath that moves your chest, the fire that stirs the stars, the river that carves the earth.

In essence form, Shakti is power, creativity, and transformation. Not an abstract idea, but a living force - the wild intelligence of the universe arising within us as body, voice, and spirit.

Honored in many traditions as Goddess, Shakti is both mother and mystery, both fierce and tender. She nurtures and she challenges, she creates and she dissolves. To awaken Shakti is to remember that this wisdom is not outside of us, it is who we are.

The Birth of Rise Shakti

Rise Shakti was not created, but remembered.

Since childhood, I sensed the pulse of an unseen current - a living energy glimmering behind all things. Even in the sturdiness of a table, I would ruminate about the mystery of its becoming, the force that gave it shape and character. Years later, in my yoga teacher training, I learned this force was real, its manifest name being Shakti; the primordial power that breathes life into all things.

Yet her mysteries were not found in textbooks or techniques. They revealed themselves through devotion, through wonder, through the path of Tantra - the currents of the Goddess. Over the years, I have dissolved and been reborn in her transmissions.

Rise Shakti arose as a natural flowering of this inwards journey. What once stirred within as a dream, has expanded into a breathing portal - a circle where the awakening of Shakti becomes shared, where the feminine current moves through us in dance, voice, ritual, and shared communion. We celebrate one another’s wildness and tenderness. We learn to love the women around us as we rise deeper in love with all parts of self. Together experiencing collective healing, shared liberation - in the womb of sisterhood.
